Acceptable use
By using Aoraton Chat you agree to use it lawfully and to not post illegal, abusive, infringing or harmful content, and not to harass others. Rooms are created by users and are not pre-moderated; you are responsible for the content you share.
The AI assistant (“inco”) can be wrong — don't rely on it for important decisions. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Radio use and the LoRa mesh bridge
A room can be bridged to a Meshtastic LoRa mesh using your own radio. If you turn that on, you agree that:
- Radio is regulated and the rules are local.You alone are responsible for operating your device on a permitted band and power, within the duty-cycle limits that apply where you are, and for holding any licence your use requires. We pace transmissions and refuse what the radio says it cannot send, but we cannot know your local rules for you.
- Nothing you transmit is end-to-end encrypted.On the air, content is protected only by the Meshtastic channel key; the default channel's key is public, and a channel uplinked to MQTT is forwarded to the internet. Do not transmit anything you would not treat as public unless you know exactly who holds your channel key.
- Delivery is best effort.Radio packets can simply not arrive, airtime is shared with everyone else on the band, and there is no guarantee of delivery, order or timing.
- It is not a safety service.Do not rely on it where life, health or property is at stake — use the emergency services. We provide it “as is”, with no warranty of availability or delivery.
- The rest of these terms apply to what you put on the air exactly as they apply in a room, including the ban on illegal, abusive or harassing content. Meshtastic is an independent open-source project and we are not affiliated with it.
Subscriptions & billing
Basic and Ultra are recurring subscriptions billed through Stripe. You can view invoices and change or cancel your plan anytime from the billing portal in the app. Cancelling stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. For refund requests, contact us.
Reporting abuse or illegal content
To report abuse, harassment or illegal content, email info@aoraton.com with the room name and details. We review reports and may remove content or restrict access.
